Avalon-Chanel Weyzig wins Miss Universe Netherlands 2009
A 20 year old professional model, Avalon-Chanel Weyzig won the title of Miss Netherlands 2009 in a beauty pageant held on June 27.
The new beauty queen Avalon-Chanel is half-Indonesian. She stands 1.69m tall and will now represent her country at the Miss Universe 2009 Contest on August 23 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas.
1st run-up title was given to Stephanie Bos, while Stevie Hartmann placed as the 2nd run-up.
Candidates who placed as the top 6 finalists were: Jolanda van Zeeland, Shanna Moes and Renee Tromp.
