FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN/COUNTRY:
My favorite things I like about my country are firstly, I like the fact that this regal nation is an archipelago that is made up of 700 islands and cays and is situated in the Atlantic Ocean and has a climate that is regularly sub-tropical throughout the year. Additionally, the Bahamas is not just sun, sand, and sea, but the Bahamas also possess flora and fauna for an individual who loves the environment. I love the fact that the people of the Bahamas are known for our warm, friendly, and inviting smiles that exudes in our demeanor. I also love the delectable dishes that one can consume in the Bahamas like crack conch, conch salad, guava duff, and stew fish just to name a few. All in all, my country is “paradise” to me.
LIFE'S AMBITITIONS:
My life’s ambitions are firstly, to make a difference in people’s lives, to encourage them to go after their goals and future endeavors, and to let them know that they have what it takes to be successful in life. Secondly, I would like to be a successful proprietress in the future; therefore I will equip myself with the knowledge and skills needed to help me in my future attempts.
HOBBIES:
I enjoy listening to music, reading, searching the internet, and modeling.
MY GOALS IN LIFE:
My goals in life currently are firstly to obtain my Associate’s degree in Business Management which I am currently pursuing, and then move into my Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Banking and Finance with a minor in Spanish.
MY BEST ASSET IS:
I would have to say being a good listener, because I listen to others needs and wants and give an ear to people in need. Being so attentive has helped me to become more disciplined in my life.
MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS:
To trust in the lord with all my heart, and lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct my path.
THE MOVIE (AND/OR BOOK) THAT MOST INFLUENCED MY LIFE:
The book that most influenced my life is, “BECOME A BETTER YOU,” by Joel Osteen. After reading this book it helped me to understand and know that, “I am anointed. I am creative. I am talented. I am successful. I have the favor of GOD upon me. People like me. I am a victor and not a victim.” These words help me to recognize that I am destined to do great things.
WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY
I would like to meet Mrs. Michelle Obama, because I would like for her to know that she is an inspiration in my life. In my opinion, she possesses the qualities and characteristics women of all ages can emulate.
I AM MOTIVATED BY:
My parents. I want to thank them for always believing in me. They always told me that I am somebody although and although I may be from a diverse ethnic background, what GOD has for me no one can stop it or take it away. Additionally, they always told me to be grateful for what I have in life, because there is somebody somewhere in the world that does not have as much. As a result, I am grateful to my parents for always encouraging me to go after my goals and dreams.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS:
Entering this pageant has changed my mind tremendously about pageantry. I now have fond respect for pageantry because I always thought it was about the glitz and the glamour, but now I realize that it is more to pageantry than just looking pretty on stage in a nice gown. I have grown so much as an individual and I have learned so much about myself that I am shocked to see the qualities that I am displaying now, qualities I never thought I had in me. Entering the pageant has made me a better person, and I have come to realize that I am a hardworking, dedicated, determined, and a self motivated person who wants to help my peers in the Bahamas become better human beings.
