21 year old Lesa-gayle Wee Tom was chosen to represent Jamaica at Miss International 2010 beauty pageant to be held in Sichuan Province Gymnasium, Chengdu, China on November 7.

Lesa-gayle Wee Tom's selection was done at the executive level, after several potential candidates were screened using the international pageant judging criteria which includes overall appearance, beauty of the face, swimsuit fitness, poise and elegance, personality, environmental awareness and intelligence.

The new Miss Jamaica International 2010 was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and started participating in the Jamaica Carnival by age four; and the opportunity ignited a modeling career. By the age of five, she had already mastered the art of performing and modeling in front of mass audiences. She’s been featured in numerous print campaigns and photo shoots; and has even been photographed by renowned celebrity photographer, Derek Blanks.

Nonetheless, Lesa-gayle Wee Tom eagerly aspires to further expand her qualifications and is currently enrolled as a national honor-roll student on a Barita Scholarship at Florida Atlantic University where she is pursuing a major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in tourism/hospitality management. This ambitious beauty also speaks fluent Spanish. Her five-year plan is to gain her degree, host her own television show and chair her own charity organization. She also aspires to pursue fashion design and launch a clothing line.
