Amy Carrier is a Law student from Liverpool. She already held the title of Miss British Model. The 1st run-up was Lisa Lazarus. She's 23 year old part-time radiography student at Hertfordshire University.
2nd run-up place was won by 22 year old Gina Basham from Birmingham City.
Miss Great Britain is a female beauty contest held in London. Between 1956 and 1989, it was held in the seaside resort of Morecambe. It is one of the oldest of its kind in the country, with the first edition held in 1945.
The organizers of the pageant decided to scrap an outdated rule that banned single mothers from entering and accepted five of them this year.
