Nilufar Sherzod, Ms. Tajikistan wins Miss United Nations 2010
Miss United Nations, Nilufar Sherzod
Miss Tajikistan, Nilufar Sherzod was crowned Miss United Nations 2010 in a pageant held in Orem, Utah. Her 1st run-up was Miss Japan, Yumiko Amano and the 2nd run-up was Miss Congo, Arielle Nguwa.
Nilufar Sherzod is a Business Finance student working on pursuing a Master's degree at Utah Valley University. She was born and raised in Tajikistan, where she graduated from Khorog State University. She became Miss Spring 1999 in her hometown in Tajikistan. Her parents Shagarf Mullo-Abdolov and Ozoda Davlatova are very proud of all that she has accomplished in such a short time in her life.
Due to Tajikistan being part of the Soviet Union, it was hardly known to the outside world. “I would like to take this wonderful opportunity to introduce my lovely country, its great people and its rich, varied and colorful history and traditions,” said Nilufar Sherzod.
