Shakira Aminah Martin wins Miss Jamaica Universe 2011

25 year old Shakira Aminah Martin was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2011 during a competition held on July 9 at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston. She was crowned by Yendi Phillips.

Kadyan Salmon was the 1st run-up while Chantal Zaky finished as 2nd run-up. Peta-Gaye Simpson and Tiffany Trotter completed the top 5 finalists.

Standing 5'8" tall, Shakira will compete at the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
