Daniella Alvarez crowned Señorita Colombia 2011

Senorita Atlantico, Daniella Margarita Alvarez Vasquez was crowned Miss Colombia 2011 or locally called as Senorita Colombia 2011 during a pageant held on November 14 at the Auditorio Barahona, Centro de Convenciones Julio Cesar Turbay in Cartagena de Indias. She received her crown and sash from Catalina Robayo, Señorita Colombia 2010.

23 year old Daniella Margarita Alvarez is from Barranquilla and stands 1.73m tall. She holds a degree in Communications and Journalism, is currently completing her Masters in Organizational Developement. She speaks Spanish, English and German.

As the new Miss Colombia 2011, Daniella will represent Colombia in Miss Universe 2012 contest next year.

The 1st run-up or “Virreina” was Senorita Magdalena, Melissa Carolina Varon Ballesteros. She is a 24 year old Chemical Engineer and model, and stands 1.80m tall. Since she cannot compete in Miss International 2012 for being over the age limit, she is expected to represent Colombia at the Miss Continente Americano 2012 pageant in Ecuador.

2nd run-up position went to Senorita Valle, Melina Ramirez Serna. She's 21 years of age, and stands 1.77m tall and will represent Colombia at the Miss International 2012 beauty pageant in Chengdu, China.

Miss Cartagena, Laura Marcela Cantillo Torres and Miss Cundinamarca, Thael Lisney Osorio Redondo were the 3rd and 4th runners-up respectively.
