Dianne Dreyfus (Bacolod City) - Miss Philippines Earth 2012
Miss Philippines Earth 2012
Bacolod City
Dianne Dreyfus
Age: 21
Occupation: Model
DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
I was born in Bacolod City, I grew up in Sydney, Australia and I moved to California when I was 11 years old. I was never really a girly girl, I was more into video games and Pokemon cards.
WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
My mother used to leave me by myself at home when she went to work. I was also left with household chores and was made to take the bus going to school by myself so I would learn how to be independent. It helped me a lot because I am now residing here in Manila alone, with no family.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
I joined a jazz dance class and when we had our recital, I wasn't expecting to win the Best Dancer award, because on the finale, I forgot my sash and came into the formation late. When they called my name, I was really surprised. It was unforgettable especially because I saw how happy and proud my family was of me.
WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE
My family took me to a restaurant in Australia and made me try dingo meat, snails, frog legs and ostrich meat.
WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
Since I've finished make-up school, I would like to become a make up artist for a certain celebrity or put up my own salon/spa. I also would like to go back to school and take up Radiology. I've always wanted to be in the medical field because I've always looked up to my mom.
WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I would like to promote a cleaner and friendlier environment. Growing up in a different country and seeing all the pollution and garbage around the Philippines really affects me.
WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
We can all join small activities or campaigns that focus on tree planting and energy conservation to make people more aware of the use of natural energy.
