What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests include nursing, active lifestyle, yoga, baking, writing poetry, volunteering, reading and modeling. I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s camping, fishing, quadding, snowmobiling or just going for walks. In my spare time I try to spend as much time as possible with my loving family. They are very supportive and caring and I am blessed to have them all in my life.
List any special training you have had (music, art, drama, dance, etc.)
I have taken piano and singing lessons, as well as hip-hop and tap dancing. I am certified in health care provider level CPR and first aid.
In what sports, if any, have you participated?
I love to be physically active and have grown up participating in basketball, volleyball, badminton, shot putt, high jump, discus, hurtles, snowboarding, relay and long distance running. I also play softball, golf, and hockey recreationally.
Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
I would definitely choose my grandparents. Growing up I spent most of my time at their house visiting and helping around the farm. They helped raise me to become a strong independent woman with a good head on my shoulders. They also taught me the importance of family, which will continue to guide my decisions for the rest of my life. Because of them I believe that anything is possible with a little hard work and dedication. They are the strongest and most loving people I know, and I couldn’t be more thankful to have such a close relationship with them.
What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?
My proudest personal accomplishment would be being accepted into the University of Alberta for nursing. I had always dreamed of attending university and becoming a registered nurse working in the Children’s Stollery Hospital. I couldn’t be prouder that I am making my dream come true. I have always believed that anybody has the ability to make the world a better place and that is one of the main reasons why I chose nursing as a career – to improve the quality of life for individuals.
What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
The most interesting thing that has ever happened to me would be becoming an older sister at the age of 12. I now am blessed to have three adorable younger sisters aged 6, 4 and 2. The most interesting thing about me would be how quirky I am. I love to laugh and I am not afraid to make fun of myself whether it’s dancing in public or smiling too much.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to become a Registered Nurse, obtain my masters’ degree and become a Nurse Practitioner. I am currently attending my second year of nursing at the University Of Alberta. My other biggest ambition in my life is to create my own non-profit organization for sexually abused children.
What would be your “dream job” in life?
My dream job would be becoming a Nurse Practitioner and being able to travel the globe. I would love to work in Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Australia, and pretty much every other area of the world.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised on a farm in Wildwood, AB until I was about 9 years old. At this point my mom married my step dad and we moved to an acreage south of Seba Beach, AB. Growing up in the country was probably one of the best experiences of my life as I now enjoy being outdoors more than anything. It enabled me to gain a very strong relationship with my family and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. I had an amazing childhood filled with love and support. Though my mom wasn’t able to give me everything she wanted to, she taught me the most important values in life – family, love, and helping others.
List any interesting or unusual jobs you may have had.
Shelling peas with my grandmother and picking rocks in the field on the family farm come to mind! However, these experiences come with some of the greatest learning opportunities about the important values in life. The insights gained during the conversations at that time have greatly impacted my life.
List any volunteering you have done.
I have volunteered with Mustard Seed, Hope Mission, MS Society, Santa’s Anonymous, Act Alberta and various senior homes. Through volunteering I have contributed my time to preparing and serving meals to the less fortunate, clothing drives, raising funds, assisting live auctions, bake sales, modeling for a humanitarian campaign, and assisting the elderly in their day to day routines.
What is your most unusual talent?
I can juggle!
Where is the most interesting place you have been?
That is a toss-up between Italy and the Dominican Republic. I fell in love with Italy the moment I arrived and I plan on returning as soon as I can. It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The buildings and homes are quaint, rustic and filled with history. I hope to one day buy a house and move there. During a family vacation in the Dominican Republic my parents made a point of showing me how some less fortunate individuals live. That eye-opening experience lead me down the path of wanting to improve the quality of life for the less fortunate.
What do you hope to be doing in ten years?
I hope to have a thriving career as a Nurse Practitioner and as a model. I also hope that I will own my own home in the country and to have travelled all over the world. Mostly I hope to have gained a ton of experience and be living life to the fullest! Perhaps I might even be starting a family.
Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?
I am a very personable and friendly individual. I love to meet new people and gain new experiences. My goal in life is to become the best version of myself that I can be, and to recognize every experience as an opportunity. I am very proud to be a delegate in this pageant and I hope to continue to make my friends and family proud of me.
