Alicia Clifton wins Miss Oklahoma 2012
Miss Oklahoma 2012 beauty pageant took place on June 9 at the Mabee Center. The stunning Alicia Clifton representing Edmond LibertyFest was crowned as the new winner. She was also won 3rd place in the Kiwanis community service competition and one of the talent awards.
Alicia competed last year and placed 2nd run-up. She's currently studies in University of Oklahoma junior. As part of her prize package, she will receive $16,000 scholarship and will represent her state in Miss America 2013 next year.
Close to the title was the 1st run-up Damaris Pierce (Oklahoma State Fair). 2nd run-up went to Veronica Wisniewski (Frontier Country). Finished as 3rd run-up was Megan Johnson (Eastern Oklahoma County). And finally, 4th run-up was Sarah Klein (Tulsa).
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club sponsoring the pageant, which awards $2 million worth of scholarships every year.
