23 year old Maria from Crete speaks Greek, English, Italian and German. She is a graduate of philosophy and hopes to become a teacher someday. During her leisure time, she likes riding, swimming, reading and dance, and says her favorite food is Greek souvlaki. An optimistic, creative and friendly person is how she pictures herself.
Tsagaraki stands 5'9.5" tall and was the 1st run-up in Star Hellas (Miss Greece) 2010. She was designated by her national director, Vassilis Prevelakis to represent Greece in this year's Miss World pageant. She also participated in the Miss International 2010 contest.
In behalf of the Greeks, Maria will compete against other 119 candidates vying the title of Miss World 2012 which celebrates the grand finale on August 18 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia at the People's Republic of China. It is one of the most celebrated and the oldest surviving beauty contests in the world since 1951. If ever she wins the crown, she will stay in London entire her reign and will travel to represent the Miss World Organization and its various causes.
