Miss Peru Universo y Miss Peru Mundo 2012

The grand finale of Miss Peru 2012 was held on June 30 at the Real Felipe Fortress Convention Center in Callao, televised by Panamericana Television and organized by Tito Paz Eventos.

A total of 20 stunning contestants competed in the event. Last year's winners Natalie Vertiz and Giuliana Zevallos passed their titles to their respective successors.

Crowned as Miss Peru Universo 2012 was Señorita Region Lima, Cindy Mejia. She's 23 year old from Lima and stands 1.74m tall. Cindy will enter the Miss Universe pageant on December.

20 year old Señorita Callao, Melissa Paredes was named as the new Miss Peru Mundo 2012. She stands 1.73m tall and will compete in Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia.

Finished as 1st run-up was Elba Fahsbender (Piura). The 2nd run-up place went to Kelin Rivera (Junin). 3rd run-up was Paola Rodriguez Larrain (La Libertad). And finally, the 4th run-up was Alexa Caceres Drago (Cajamarca).

Completing the top 12 semi-finalists were Diana Rengifo (Ucayali), Samantha Batallanos (Lima), Ana Sologuren Torres (Moquegua), Jimena Alarcon (Amazonas), Akemi Giura (Trujillo) and Fabiola Diaz (Loreto).
