INTERVIEW:
What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?
I will create a project called “Little Hands at Work”, because the new generation will continue protecting our earth. I am already visiting rural schools and talking to children about the importance of our beautiful earth.
What makes you proud of your country and what can you promote about it?
Despite many political problems, natural disasters and civil wars, we are growing. It made me proud that our people work day and night for a better El Salvador, offering to the world our best in tourism, our warm welcome and our eternal smile to remember by. I want to promote my country to the world in a way that enable everyone to know our tradition, culture, beautiful nature in a single day and visit the little towns and incredible beaches fit for surfing, and have a great time with our friendly people.
Describe your childhood/growing years:
It was so memorable. I wish I can go back to being always surrounded by friends and playing with every kid at that age. My family was always next to me supporting me and teaching me good lessons. Also I was a good student at school. I was good in sports and one of my favorite was basketball. I was always part in activities that my city created for kids.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
I played with matches when I was a child and accidentally burned my friend who could’ve ended up in a worse condition. Because of this I learned not to play with fire or any dangerous thing that can cause harm.
What is your most memorable moment?
Winning the title of Miss Earth El Salvador and represent my beautiful country in this important beauty pageant which great cause is to protect Earth’s nature. This is the most memorable moments at this time of my life - winning this important title.
What is your environmental advocacy and why did you choose it?
We need sustainable energy 100%. We should live, and not destroy nature like rivers and forests because their destruction cause the global warming.
What tip can you share to promote sustainable energy for all?
Sustainable energy is a good way to use energy without destroying our nature. This energy can be harnessed by solar energy, wind energy, ocean wave energy. Sustainable energy can be less expensive and also safe for our nature.
Other information that you would like to share with the Miss Earth Management:
The delegates of Miss Earth reflect not only beauty and brains but part of this beautiful earth that we want to take care of. Together we can change this world. I support this great cause and I am so happy to be part of Miss Earth Organization. Our delegates reflect beauty and brains! Sustainable energy up!
